A high pressure system dominating over central Europe bringing sunny and clear spells in much of central and northern Italy over the next few days with a significant temperature rise. Temperatures will be above normal, reaching 16-18°C, while locally in the plains could even exceed reaching 20-22°C especially in Tuscany and Lazio. In southern Italy and Sardinia a low pressure system will bring at times scattered showers and local thunderstorms. In more detail:

In northern and central Italy, sunny and clear spells are expected until much of Saturday, while there is a risk for mist and patchy fog locally in the plains. Sunday, a low pressure system from the Atlantic will bring a cloud increasing and rain or thunderstorms by the end of the day, locally severe in Liguria, Piemonte and Tuscany. Snow is expected over high ground.

In southern Italy and Sardinia, a low pressure system from Algeria and Tunisia will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms at times especially between Thursday and Saturday. A low pressure system from the Atlantic will also influence Sardinia on Sunday bringing rain and local thunderstorms locally severe. Temperature rise is expected also in the south but mostly from Sunday.
