Unusual heat waves in many countries around the world: 41-43°C in Australia

March continues to bring summer spells in Australia with temperatures reaching nearly 34-38°C, while in many regions the last days temperatures are reaching even 41-43°C. The warm season it looks like is not over yet for Australia and temperatures are 10-12°C above normal especially across the southwestern and central parts.

In more detail, temperatures across Australia and especially in the southwestern regions continue to rise the last few days reaching today 42.3°C in Paraburdoo, while 40.5°C Mount Magnet Airport.


The unusual heat wave will continue to dominate across Australia over the next days bringing temperatures 8-10°C above normal also in the eastern regions.

The last few days many parts of the world are experiencing unusually warm temperatures, while today in Vioolsdrif, South Africa, 43.4°C were recorded and 41.5°C at Clanwilliams, more South. Also, Europe is experiencing warm temperatures the last days especially Spain and France where temperatures are 8°C above normal, reaching locally 29-31°C. The heat wave is expected to travel east over the next few days bringing 8-12°C temperatures above normal to central and lastly to eastern Europe.
