The high pressure system will move northeastwards during the next days dominating much of Europe and especially the central and southern Europe with temperatures 8-10°C above normal.

In more detail, in the plains of southern France are expected temperatures close to 37-39°C or locally even 40-41°C. In Bordeaux maximum temperatures could reach 38-39°C, while in Paris 36-37°C. In Italy temperatures across the plains will reach 38-40°C or locally even 40-42°C between Saturday and Monday. During next week a temperature rise will also experience Scandinavia with temperatures reaching 24-26°C across the southern parts, while Stockholm will reach 23-24°C.

A gradual temperature drop is coming from western Europe from 13 of August as a low pressure system will move towards Europe, bringing also intense showers and thunderstorms.
